The dollar continued to depreciate against the rupee last week.

 



        Last week, the dollar depreciated against the rupee in the inter bank and local open currency markets, causing the dollar to depreciate from Rs 154 to Rs 153.

            According to a report by the Forex Association of Pakistan, the dollar depreciated by 37 paise against the rupee in the inter bank market last week, pushing the buying price of the dollar down from Rs 154 to Rs 153.53 and the selling price down from Rs 154.10 to Rs 153.73 Similarly, in the local open currency market, the dollar fell by 60 paise, after which the buying price of the dollar fell from Rs 154.20 to Rs 153.50 and the selling price fell from Rs 154.40 to Rs 153.80.

        According to the Forex report, the euro depreciated significantly by Rs 1, bringing the buying price of the euro down from Rs 180 to Rs 179 and the selling price falling from Rs 182 to Rs 181, while the British pound fell by 50 paise to Rs 211 from Rs 211.50. The selling price fell from Rs 213.50 to Rs 213. However, the dollar and British pound remained stable against the rupee in the local open currency market on Saturday while the euro depreciated by 50 paise.
